![]() Pinnacle Studio has always been an intuitive video editor with features that can make it easy for video enthusiasts to learn the ropes in projects, but with Macs still favored by creatives, it may be high time to see the suite available on other platforms, and the ARM architecture sooner rather than later. However, there’s no Mac version of Pinnacle anywhere to be seen (on either M1 Macs or older Intel-based Macs), and the iOS version is seemingly abandoned, as the latest update is still showcasing iOS 10 support. With Adobe already achieving M1 native support on most of the Creative Cloud Suite, it’s also working on Windows ARM compatibility, and already has Lightroom available for it, with more on the way. With Apple all in on ARM with its M1 chip, which powers its latest Macs and MacBooks, and Microsoft in heavy testing with Windows 10 and Windows 11 on the same architecture, customers are going to want their favored software to work on these machines sooner rather than later. My first test project video was 8 minutes at 4.9G Below is a screen shot showing the best quality Pinnacle export settings I used. However, with Pinnacle Studio only available for Windows machines running a 64-bit CPU, the increasing prevalence of ARM-based laptops may mean that it’s time for Corel to look toward making the software available on more machines. I should mention that I'm using Windows 10 on a fairly new PC with ample storage capacity. We'll see how pleased I am with this product in time as I use it more. ![]() Seeing that I had past experience with an older version of Pinnacle Studio, making the transition to the newest product version became an easy learning curve experience with the exception of the two issues I experienced when making my first drone project video. It took all of maybe 15 seconds to resolve once I changed the setting in this one control panel field. Ugh! Lots of wasted time experimenting and researching, but I learned a good bit in the process. I could then export the project video to any format and size I wanted, and successfully view my completed video project. This one simple step totally resoled the issue. Then I restarted my computer and the Pinnacle software. In a day and a half I received an email response suggesting that I go into the Pinnacle control panel settings, and change the hardware setting from advanced hardware acceleration to none. I also looked online at the Pinnacle forum and couldn't find a solution, so I contacted Pinnacle technical support. I spent a day and a half experimenting with different export settings with no success. I was only able to view the below image in play back. I first exported at the highest best quality settings, and playback didn't work at all. ![]() The second issue I experienced was in play back. After editing out the clips shot at different speeds, the export function completed. When exporting, I found that once the export function reached a clip that was at a different speed setting, the software froze. At first, I mixed clips that were shot at different settings. With Pinnacle Studio 25 Ultimate, we’ve made it even easier to produce impressive, professional-looking results with features that streamline the editing workflow and enable users to edit. ![]() I was able to produce my first video as a test with two issues. I purchased the Pinnacle upgrade to Pinnacle Studio 22 Ultimate.
